Naturalisation resource kit

To make records in our custody more widely available to researchers throughout Australia and overseas, Queensland State Archives has produced the Naturalisations Historical Resource Kit. The kit includes naturalisation records from the Supreme Court, Colonial Secretary's Office and Home Secretary's Office, the Government Resident, Moreton Bay and other miscellaneous records.

These records include:

  • Oaths of allegiance sworn to by aliens being naturalized, 1858-1904
  • Certificates of naturalisation and associated papers, 1860-1902
  • Registers of aliens to whom oaths of allegiance administered, 1858-1862; 1876-1903
  • Applications and correspondence re naturalisation, 1851-1856; 1860-1861; and 1897-1905
  • A card index to naturalisations, arranged alphabetically by name of alien.
