Resources for history curriculum

Introduction

To support the Australian History Curriculum, Queensland State Archives has selected a range of digitised records from its collection to assist teachers in the teaching and learning of history. The 'Historical Knowledge and Understanding' strand of the Australian History Curriculum includes personal, family, local, state or territory, national, regional and world history. By the nature of Queensland State Archives collection, this primary source material is Queensland focused and may be included in broader historical investigations.

Queensland State Archives will continue to add resources to these pages and would welcome feedback from teachers to enhance the usefulness of this material. Please email your feedback to info@archives.qld.gov.au.

Please note, as most of the records within Queensland State Archives collection were created in the period from 1859 when Queensland was declared a separate colony from New South Wales, no supporting resources are available from our collection for Year 7, The Ancient World, and Year 8, The Ancient to the Modern World.
