Details: Discover how to get the best out of Queensland State Archives' online catalogue which can be accessed online or in the Public Search Room at Queensland State Archives. 
This workshop will teach you more advanced techniques to locate records of interest and will give useful tips for finding what you want. 
You're welcome to bring your wireless device – laptop or tablet – to join in with exercises presented during the workshop to help you learn how to use our catalogue.

Details: This workshop provides researchers with an introduction to our searchable catalogue which can be accessed online or in the Public Search Room at Queensland State Archives.

This workshop, presented by one of our experienced reference archivists, will provide you with the basics you need to start your research at Queensland State Archives and how best to find the information you are seeking.

Using microfilm and indexes workshop
Date: 29 January 2015​  
Time: 8.30 am - 9.30 am​
Location: Queensland State Archives Public Search Room​
Details: Learn how to use the Archives' microfilm equipment, including scanning and saving records to USB from microfilm. The session will also teach you how to use our Public Search Room computers which provide access to the catalogue, the Archives' website, the Internet and our indexes.
You will be required to bring your own USB device.
