Enemies of Paper

Do your valuable documents share accommodation with cockroaches, silverfish, rats and other assorted cellar dwellers? Is the environment too hot, too bright, too damp or too dusty?
Are you confused about which papers to use, or has someone suggested lamination for preservation? This exhibition has been designed to provide you with some helpful hints on caring for your paper records.

Since your permanent records form Queensland's documentary heritage, preventive preservation will ensure that they survive. If you want to know more, take a look at our publications area.

Preservation Services Branch is committed to the ongoing preservation of valuable paper-based collections through the provision of training, advice and assistance.
