Transfer and storage of records

Records, including the information they contain, should be identifiable, retrievable, accessible and available when needed.

Permanent records may be transferred to Queensland State Archives in accordance with the Public Records Act 2002 and the Disposal and Transfer Guidelines. Once at Queensland State Archives, agencies can access their records through the File Issue process.

Offsite Storage

The Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office manages a whole of Government Arrangement for the provision of Records Storage, Retrieval and Destruction Services.
