Preservation Services staff are committed to educating, advising and assisting agency staff in the implementation of sound preservation management procedures. Preventative measures at an early stage will help reduce premature loss of valuable information.

The advisory services provides guidance in:

• the selection of materials for record creation
• advice on suitable storage facilities and handling techniques, and
• assessment of potential conservation treatments.
