The Standard is a strategic level statement of policy and practice. It also provides a methodology to assist agencies in developing best practice records systems. The Standard is supported by a Technical Report which contains more detailed information concerning the implementation of the Standard. BSB01 Business Services Training Package Competency Standards: Strategic Management and Recordkeeping
These national competency standards identify the different levels of skills and knowledge required for managing records. The Standards provide a useful tool for developing recordkeeping programs, job design, recruitment and selection; designing training and development programs for recordkeeping personnel; and implementing AS ISO 15489. Principles and Functional Requirements for Records in Electronic Office Environments - Guidelines and Functional Requirements for Electronic Records Management Systems Developed by the International Council on Archives, these Guidelines and Functional Requirements articulate a high-level statement of core and optional records management requirements for electronic Document and Records Management Systems (eDRMS).
