Queensland State Archives has published advice and guidance for local governments that undergo a machinery of government change. This advice is the result of research, feedback and consultation with Councils and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Recreation.
The intention of the advice is to assist local government CEOs, Transition Committee members, and Records Managers in identifying and overseeing strategic recordkeeping issues and managing public records before, during and after a machinery of government change, particularly in regard to the review and establishment of electronic recordkeeping systems.
