QSA-Bulletin

Queensland State Archives has established QSA-Bulletin, an e-bulletin to disseminate information relating to QSA public programs and collections. The list is not intended as an interactive discussion forum, so those who join will receive information but will be unable to broadcast their own messages. Click here to subscribe.

An archive of past issues is available here.

The services available for researchers are:

All records held at Queensland State Archives are listed in its information management system, ‘Archives One’. The primary finding aid to locate all records held at Queensland State Archives is the online database search.

Computers finding aid

In addition to the above primary search tool, there are a range of secondary finding aids available for researchers. Those secondary finding aids which are listed below can only be used to search various types or parts of records held at Queensland State Archives.

A select number of items from the collection are being digitised. Click here to see some of these. As more items are made available they will be added.

Queensland State Archives Volunteer Program

Queensland State Archives has a team of volunteers who assist QSA in the provision of quality services to the public. Volunteers assist in the creation of finding aids such as indexes which make it easier for researchers to locate information about people. We have several indexes available on our website and more are being created. Volunteers also assist with basic preservation tasks such as removing metal clips from files and cleaning records. Volunteers generally work one day per week.

If you are interested in this program please contact our Volunteer Co-ordinator on 3131 7946.
