Immigration

This is a Pathways Guide to records relating to immigrants and immigration, in particular those records which name ships and those which give an indication of the length of time spent in Queensland.

As well as familiar passenger lists, included are records which are not often use by researchers. For example, the 'alien registrations' which were required during both World Wars often provide information about entry into Australia well back into the 1800s.

Mining

This Pathways Guide lists records relating to mining.

As well as the records of the Department of Mines, the guide includes records of the Mineral Lands Commissioners, Mining Wardens, Inspectors of Mines and Assistant Mining Registrars.

If you have a mining ancestor this will assist with your research.
