Historical Resource Kits - Electoral Rolls
The Electoral Rolls Historical Resource Kit consists of Queensland State electoral rolls from 1860 to 1900.
The rolls from 1860 to 1871 are incomplete, and the rolls from 1872 to 1874 are missing. From 1875 there is a set of rolls for each year, except for 1887 and 1888 which are missing.
In the early years the rolls gave only the name and address of the person
enrolled. Over the years the amount of information increased to include name,
address, date of first enrolment in the electorate and occupation.
Boundaries and names of electorates changed considerably between 1860 and
1900. A set of maps showing the new electoral boundaries for each time the
boundaries substantially changed is included in the Handbook to the Kit.
The Electoral Roll resource kit is available for purchase. It consists
of 21 x 16mm microfilm. The cost is $735.00 (Cost includes GST. Cost excludes postage and handling).
