Catalogue Search

Archives Search

This is a searchable catalogue (or database) which provides access to the Queensland State Archives (QSA) collection of records. It contains details of approved series and items and detailed agency descriptions about State and Local Government Agencies, Courts and Statutory Authorities.

Start your General Search in ArchivesSearch - to view a catalogue entry containing details about the public records of State and Local Government Agencies.

Each record has an Access Category set by the responsible agency which determines whether it is available for public access. Access categories include "open" and "restricted" and 15 - 100 year access periods.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander material accessed on ArchivesSearch may be culturally sensitive for some individuals and communities.

If you are accessing ArchivesSearch from the Public Search Room at Runcorn, you can order records for delivery to this room. However, if you are accessing ArchivesSearch externally the ordering function is unavailable.

Further information on using the ArchivesSearch catalogue can be found in the ArchivesSearch Help Guide.
